When we think of customers, our natural instinct is to think of retail customers in a shop, or restaurant. However as Facilities Managers, we have customers too. In order to provide the correct services for them, we need to know who they are, what they are trying to achieve and what kind of services they will need in order to go about their activities effectively, comfortably and enjoyably.

In this course, we will consider what is meant by our customer base and explore the demographics of that customer base. We will also consider how understanding the demographic mix can help us to identify the services we need to provide.

By the end of this course. You will have a clear understanding of what is meant by the term demographic, and how understanding the demographics associated with your customers can assist you in providing the most appropriate services to support the core business.
